SUNNY was born to unnamed parents on July 20th, being approximately 16 years old by the beginning of the game. He has an older sister named [[MARI]]. He lived in Faraway since he was a child, sharing a room with his older sister.

Growing up, Sunny always loved listening to Mari play piano, prompting him to receive a violin on his 12th birthday so that he could play with her. He enjoyed playing it at first but became resentful of it due to his sister's tendency to be a perfectionist, as well as his violin lessons interfering with the time he spent with his friends. He frequently played with his neighbors [[KEL]], [[HERO]], [[AUBREY]], and [[BASIL]], the latter of which was described as being his best friend. BASIL's photo album shows the group being close friends; going to school together, celebrating birthdays, and building a treehouse.

Sunny's frustration causes him to have an argument with Mari which leads to him throwing his violin down the stairs and breaking it, which then escalates to him accidentally pushing Mari down the stairs, killing her. Initially, he believes that she is still alive and has Basil help him carry her up to her bed. However, it becomes clear that she has died, and Basil convinces Sunny to stage her death as a suicide in order to avoid potential repercussions. After Mari's death, Sunny becomes reclusive, and he eventually stops leaving his house altogether. People who do this are known in Japan as "Hikikomori"<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hikikomori#:~:text=Hikikomori%20(Japanese%3A%20%E3%81%B2%E3%81%8D%E3%81%93%E3%82%82%E3%82%8A%20or%20%E5%BC%95%E3%81%8D,general%20and%20the%20recluses%20themselves.</ref>, which is where the name of Sunny's Headspace persona "Omori" comes from.

==STORY==
The beginning of the game takes place four years after Mari's death and over the course of three days, after which Sunny will be moving to a new town. Through the player's choices, the game has multiple endings and two specific routes that can be taken.

====Night 1====
Night 1 occurs regardless of what route the player chooses. SUNNY wakes up after being forced to leave [[WHITE SPACE]]. While attempting to get food from the kitchen, he has to conquer his fear of heights to go down the stairs; which is where he remembers how to use the skill CALM DOWN. Sunny then heats up the steak his mother left him and eats it, however it causes him to get sick and vomit. Afterward, the sound of knocking prompts Sunny to check the front door, where Mari can be heard asking Sunny to let her in. Sunny is given a choice to either answer the door, or leave it closed. After choosing either option, the night ends with Sunny going back to bed and re-entering Whitespace.

===HIKIKOMORI ROUTE===
The days in the Hikikomori route are considerably shorter, as they only consist of Sunny doing his chores and then facing the [[SOMETHING]] that corresponds with a fear blocking out sections of Headspace. This route prevents the completion of the True ending, and only allows for Neutral endings.

====DAY 1====
During the first day, Sunny must choose not to answer the door in order to start the Hikikomori route. From there he will sweep the house, afterward taking a nap and waking up at night. He will come across Something again, this time taking the form of a mutated spider. Fighting Something allows Sunny to gain the skill Focus, and gets rid of his fear of spiders.

====DAY 2====
On Day 2 Sunny is tasked with doing the dishes. Afterward, he takes a bath and slowly sinks down. Upon resurfacing, his house will be completely flooded. Following Mari's ghost down the stairs prompts him to fight Something, this time looking like underwater plants/tentacles. This fight allows Sunny to learn Persist.

====DAY 3====
On the last day, waking up and moving around the house results in Sunny being followed by Something wherever he goes. The last chore involves sorting through Sunny's old belongings into different boxes. From there, the player can choose either to go back to Headspace or have Sunny sleep. If Sunny goes to sleep, his body is taken over by Omori. After waking up, there are two possible endings that can be achieved. If Sunny goes to sleep, he will wake up and leave the house, ending with the credits rolling and the sound of sirens, possibly implying Basil's suicide having still happened in this route. Another option is for the player to go into the menu and use the stab function, causing Omori to stab Sunny and commit suicide.

===NORMAL ROUTE===
The normal route allows for the True or Bad endings to be reached, but the neutral endings can also occur depending on the player's choices.

====DAY 1====
SUNNY wakes up in the morning to someone knocking on the front door. When he opens the door, Kel is on the other side. Going outside then gives SUNNY the opportunity to see his old friends and overall be more active within his waking life. The day goes on as SUNNY and Kel learn that Basil's [[PHOTO ALBUM]] was stolen by Aubrey. They confront her, where she reveals that she felt betrayed by all of them after Mari's death and believes she is keeping the photo album safe. After this, Sunny and Kel see her throw away the Photo Album and are able to retrieve it. They take it back to Basil and eat dinner at Basil's house. Basil's behavior becomes increasingly strange, leading to him running to the bathroom. When Sunny checks on him, he is terrified and mentions also being able to see Something. The player is then forced to make Sunny leave, despite Basil's pleas for him to stay. Sunny goes home and fights Something, overcoming his fear of spiders and learning the skill Persist.

OMORI wears a black tank top, long black socks, and black and white striped shorts. He is the only character to be colored black and white in contrast with the colorful dream world.

===PERSONALITY===
OMORI's personality is generally left up to player interpretation, due to him being a silent protagonist. However, he makes a significant amount of comments within the [[FOE FACTS!]] journal. In the journal, while he is generally only describing the foe, he occasionally makes a snarky comment.

==STORY==
At some point following MARI's death, [[SUNNY]] presumably began visiting [[HEADSPACE]] as OMORI. The origins of OMORI are not fully clarified, although it is heavily implied through one of the cutscenes<ref>The cutscene is called omori_origin.webm within the game files.</ref> that SUNNY originally manifested as himself in [[WHITE SPACE]], but eventually manifested OMORI, and was no longer able/willing to enter WHITE SPACE as himself. From the door appearing after this happens, this presumably also unlocked the rest of HEADSPACE.

Inside HEADSPACE, OMORI can freely visit a dream world where his friends reside along with what appear to be representations of his acquaintances and fictional mascots. The entire HEADSPACE appears to exist solely as a way to escape from MARI's death and its consequences for SUNNY/OMORI, as within HEADSPACE, MARI is still alive and all of his friends are still with him, all of them being exactly the same as they were before MARI's death. Throughout the game, it is implied that this is either a consequence of or the reason behind his isolation during the four years in between MARI's death and the start of the game.

===NORMAL ROUTE===
As the story progresses, OMORI appears to change from merely a persona adopted by SUNNY within HEADSPACE to a completely different entity, perhaps a split personality of sorts. This culminates in the final battle of the game, where following his fight with Basil, SUNNY enters WHITE SPACE as himself, and sees OMORI wielding his signature kitchen knife. The battle consists of five stages, with progressively increasing difficulty, and the background changing to increasingly disturbing images as well as music and sounds. The player only needs to reach the fourth stage in order to progress. If the player dies past this point, there are two possible endings, depending on what they choose:

* '''GOOD ENDING''': If the player chooses to continue, SUNNY stands back up, and begins to play a duet with MARI, giving the player a cutscene showing parts of SUNNY's childhood. After this, another cutscene plays. wherein OMORI hugs SUNNY and drops his knife, before disappearing. After this, the player wakes up in a hospital, and meets all his friends in Basil's own hospital room and presumably confesses about MARI's death.

* '''BAD ENDING''': If the player chooses not to continue, the cutscene in which OMORI hugs SUNNY plays, except that this time SUNNY drops his violin and disappears instead of OMORI. This results in OMORI waking up in WHITE SPACE again. When they enter the NEIGHBOUR'S ROOM, all of his friends are unusually quiet and simply run up to him. When they exit the room, SUNNY appears on what appears to be the Hospital's roof, alone, in a hospital gone, and with his eye bandaged. Following this, he jumps off the building, and the credits play.

In [[HEADSPACE]], AUBREY wears a light-green dress and has a pink bow in her hair. She does not wear socks or shoes and her hair and eyes are purple like [[KEL]] and [[HERO]].

In the real world, AUBREY looks significantly different and appears much older than her dream counterpart. She has her hair dyed pink, wears a crop top with a varsity jacket over it, a jean skirt, and a green headband. She also carries a baseball bat with nails hammered into it.

===PERSONALITY===
In HEADSPACE, AUBREY is very cheerful and is always happy to see [[OMORI]], with some dialogue implying she has a crush on him. She tends to become sad and worried quite easily, and is the most anxious of the five characters when [[BASIL]] goes missing. She has a tense relationship with Kel, with them arguing regularly, usually resulting in mediation from HERO or MARI.

In the REAL WORLD, she has changed significantly since MARI's death. She is cold and hostile to her old friends at the beginning of the game, due to her believing they abandoned her when she needed them most. She is short-tempered and violent, having frequent outbursts. She is seen bullying [[BASIL]] with [[THE HOOLIGANS]], going as far as to steal Basil's Photo Album. However, this is due to the fact that she saw Basil scribbling the photos out. She also goes to church every week in an attempt to find peace after Mari's death. As the game progresses, she eventually reveals why she stole Basil's Photo Album and manages to reconcile with Sunny, Kel, and Hero, as well as Basil himself.

===BACKGROUND===
AUBREY was born to her unnamed [[AUBREY'S MOM|mother]] and father the same year as [[SUNNY]], [[KEL]], and [[BASIL]]. She lived with her parents at their [[AUBREY'S HOUSE|house]], though it is suggested that they may have lived in squalor. At some point, she became friends with [[MARI]], [[SUNNY]], [[HERO]], [[KEL]], and [[BASIL]]. As children, they often played together.

MARI's death, HERO's departure for college, as well as her dad leaving her family caused her to become angry and isolated. She became upset that her friends had all stopped talking to each other, believing them to have abandoned her. At one point, she is so desperate to reconnect with them that she begs BASIL to let her study at his house after school. He reluctantly agrees, but acts cold and refuses to speak with her. While he is in the bathroom, she looks at his photo album only to find that he has scribbled them out with black marker. Furious, she takes the album and cleans the photos, becoming alienated from Basil and tormenting him.

She then became the queen bee of the local delinquents [[THE HOOLIGANS]] and spends a majority of her time with them at the beginning of the game.

===HIKIKOMORI ROUTE===
Aubrey can not be seen at all in the real world during the Hikikomori Route, due to Sunny never leaving his house. In Headspace, her character remains the same as in the Normal Route, with some additional dialogue added in the stages of Headspace only unlockable through completing the Dream World Reset.

===NORMAL ROUTE===

====DAY 1====
After buying [[HERO'S GIFT|a gift]] from [[HOBBEEZ]], SUNNY and KEL notice [[BASIL]] begging [[KIM]] to tell AUBREY to give him back his [[PHOTO ALBUM]] at FARAWAY PARK. The latter refuses to help BASIL, leading to KEL confronting KIM, telling her to leave BASIL alone. This causes a commotion in which AUBREY does show up with her new group of friends: [[THE HOOLIGANS]].

KEL tries to resonate with AUBREY but she insists on fighting both him and SUNNY. Afterwards, AUBREY ends up backing down and leaves the park with her new friends.

SUNNY and KEL then locate her at the CHURCH after fighting the other HOOLIGANS. KEL questions AUBREY for stealing BASIL's PHOTO ALBUM, which leads to a heated argument. She wants to keep her distance from them. Realizing that there's no point explaining her reasons due to KEL's argument, AUBREY tries to beat down both her former friends. The fight ends as the church attendants around them gossip about her history, which causes a tearful AUBREY to run off. After, she is later seen throwing out the photo album, and SUNNY and KEL dig through the trash to get it back, but some photos are missing.

====DAY 2====
She and the HOOLIGANS are seen bullying BASIL in the secret hangout behind the park. A fight ensues, and THE HOOLIGANS leave, leaving KEL, SUNNY, BASIL, and AUBREY alone. AUBREY has a brief meltdown and questions why they keep coming back into her life. Kel berates her for bullying Basil, and she retaliates by pushing Basil into the lake. After Hero saves Basil, she is regretful of her actions, but the party does not forgive her, not understanding why she is so angry with Basil. She is left alone by the lake.

====DAY 3====
AUBREY's best friend KIM, knocks at SUNNY's door and asks him to go check on her because she won't leave her house. All of the delinquents are outside her house and are worried about her. The party enters her house to discover trash scattered everywhere and her mother unresponsive and fixated in front of the TV. They go into her room, angering her, but Hero is able to calm her down. They have a heart-to-heart and she makes up with everyone, apologizing to them. They find the missing photos, which are all pictures MARI, and she says she took them because it was all she had left of Mari. They put them back in the PHOTO ALBUM and she joins the party.

The party reminisces at some spots in town, and then they go visit their old treehouse. She leaves her pink pinwheel in the stump of the tree where MARI was found dead and starts being open with everyone about her feelings.

Then they go to BASIL's house and, even though he won't open his door, she apologizes sincerely to him. They all sleep in the living room.

In the GOOD ENDING, she is seen standing beside BASIL's hospital bed alongside everyone.

'''AUBREY''' is one of the three main deuteragonists in ''[[OMORI (Game)|OMORI]]'' that join [[OMORI]]'s party. When AUBREY is in the [[Tagging|lead]], she can smash obstacles with a bat.

==PROFILE==
===APPEARANCE===
In [[HEADSPACE]], AUBREY wears a light-green dress and has a pink bow in her hair. She does not wear socks or shoes and her hair and eyes are purple like [[KEL]] and [[HERO]].

In the real world, AUBREY looks significantly different and appears much older than her dream counterpart. She has her hair dyed pink, wears a crop top with a varsity jacket over it, a jean skirt, and a green headband. She also carries a baseball bat with nails hammered into it.

===PERSONALITY===
In HEADSPACE, AUBREY is very cheerful and is always happy to see [[OMORI]], with some dialogue implying she has a crush on him. She tends to become sad and worried quite easily, and is the most anxious of the five characters when [[BASIL]] goes missing. She has a tense relationship with Kel, with them arguing regularly, usually resulting in mediation from HERO or MARI.

In the REAL WORLD, she has changed significantly since MARI's death. She is cold and hostile to her old friends at the beginning of the game, due to her believing they abandoned her when she needed them most. She is short-tempered and violent, having frequent outbursts. She is seen bullying [[BASIL]] with [[THE HOOLIGANS]], going as far as to steal Basil's Photo Album. However, this is due to the fact that she saw Basil scribbling the photos out. She also goes to church every week in an attempt to find peace after Mari's death. As the game progresses, she eventually reveals why she stole Basil's Photo Album and manages to reconcile with Sunny, Kel, and Hero, as well as Basil himself.

===BACKGROUND===
AUBREY was born to her unnamed [[AUBREY'S MOM|mother]] and father the same year as [[SUNNY]], [[KEL]], and [[BASIL]]. She lived with her parents at their [[AUBREY'S HOUSE|house]], though it is suggested that they may have lived in squalor. At some point, she became friends with [[MARI]], [[SUNNY]], [[HERO]], [[KEL]], and [[BASIL]]. As children, they often played together.

MARI's death, HERO's departure for college, as well as her dad leaving her family caused her to become angry and isolated. She became upset that her friends had all stopped talking to each other, believing them to have abandoned her. At one point, she is so desperate to reconnect with them that she begs BASIL to let her study at his house after school. He reluctantly agrees, but acts cold and refuses to speak with her. While he is in the bathroom, she looks at his photo album only to find that he has scribbled them out with black marker. Furious, she takes the album and cleans the photos, becoming alienated from Basil and tormenting him.

She then became the queen bee of the local delinquents [[THE HOOLIGANS]] and spends a majority of her time with them at the beginning of the game.

==STORY==

===HIKIKOMORI ROUTE===
Aubrey can not be seen at all in the real world during the Hikikomori Route, due to Sunny never leaving his house. In Headspace, her character remains the same as in the Normal Route, with some additional dialogue added in the stages of Headspace only unlockable through completing the Dream World Reset.

===NORMAL ROUTE===

====DAY 1====
After buying [[HERO'S GIFT|a gift]] from [[HOBBEEZ]], SUNNY and KEL notice [[BASIL]] begging [[KIM]] to tell AUBREY to give him back his [[PHOTO ALBUM]] at FARAWAY PARK. The latter refuses to help BASIL, leading to KEL confronting KIM, telling her to leave BASIL alone. This causes a commotion in which AUBREY does show up with her new group of friends: [[THE HOOLIGANS]].

KEL tries to resonate with AUBREY but she insists on fighting both him and SUNNY. Afterwards, AUBREY ends up backing down and leaves the park with her new friends.

SUNNY and KEL then locate her at the CHURCH after fighting the other HOOLIGANS. KEL questions AUBREY for stealing BASIL's PHOTO ALBUM, which leads to a heated argument. She wants to keep her distance from them. Realizing that there's no point explaining her reasons due to KEL's argument, AUBREY tries to beat down both her former friends. The fight ends as the church attendants around them gossip about her history, which causes a tearful AUBREY to run off. After, she is later seen throwing out the photo album, and SUNNY and KEL dig through the trash to get it back, but some photos are missing.

====DAY 2====
She and the HOOLIGANS are seen bullying BASIL in the secret hangout behind the park. A fight ensues, and THE HOOLIGANS leave, leaving KEL, SUNNY, BASIL, and AUBREY alone. AUBREY has a brief meltdown and questions why they keep coming back into her life. Kel berates her for bullying Basil, and she retaliates by pushing Basil into the lake. After Hero saves Basil, she is regretful of her actions, but the party does not forgive her, not understanding why she is so angry with Basil. She is left alone by the lake.

====DAY 3====
AUBREY's best friend KIM, knocks at SUNNY's door and asks him to go check on her because she won't leave her house. All of the delinquents are outside her house and are worried about her. The party enters her house to discover trash scattered everywhere and her mother unresponsive and fixated in front of the TV. They go into her room, angering her, but Hero is able to calm her down. They have a heart-to-heart and she makes up with everyone, apologizing to them. They find the missing photos, which are all pictures MARI, and she says she took them because it was all she had left of Mari. They put them back in the PHOTO ALBUM and she joins the party.

The party reminisces at some spots in town, and then they go visit their old treehouse. She leaves her pink pinwheel in the stump of the tree where MARI was found dead and starts being open with everyone about her feelings.

Then they go to BASIL's house and, even though he won't open his door, she apologizes sincerely to him. They all sleep in the living room.

==== DAY 4 ====
In the GOOD ENDING, she is seen standing beside BASIL's hospital bed alongside everyone.
