SuperPiterOfficialWiki: /* Mari's House */ Detailed the broken ROOM WITH SELF map.

The PAGENAME, otherwise known as "Neighborhood", is a room in Black Space. This room is the fourth room the player will enter in Black Space.

Overview
This area resembles a town. There's many houses, neatly aligned. Interacting with the doors of these house will play a bell sound. There is an unknown chance to trigger a jumpscare for every bell that was rung .<br>
There's a bathtub and a fridge in the middle of the street and crudely drawn deer that are running in place.
Going to the bottom of this area will lead you to a small puddle. Above the puddle is Stranger, he can be talked to for some dialogue but that's not strictly required.<br>
Right below the puddle is the key.<br>
Like in the other rooms, collecting the key will spawn red hands that will teleport you back to the Black Space hub.

Notable Areas
Mari's House
Interacting with the door with the clock on it's head, on the fourth house in the fifth row from the top will bring you to mari's house.<br>
In it there's two bookcases, a potted plant, a box, a fridge, a bed, a drawer, a bathtub, a window, a cake, and a painting on the wall.<br>
There is only two things that one can interact in here: The cake and the painting.<br>

If the player interacts with the cake, the game will asks them if they want to eat it. If they say yes, Omori will begin eating the cake.<br>
He will realize that it feels like chewing on bones and that his molars have suddenly gone missing.<br>

If the player interacts with the painting, they will see a girl, whose body was largely covered with her own hair.<br>
After looking away, the girl will exit the painting and follow you around, leaving her painting empty.

However, there is also a mirror that was supposed to teleport you to ROOM WITH SELF, but due to the code not working, it's impossible to enter without modifying the game. Room is detailed right below this.

ROOM WITH SELF
* Note: The code that teleports you to this room is broken in vanilla OMORI.

When entering this room, the player will no longer control Omori, but instead a pair of eyes. You must align the eyes correctly into Hellmori's sockets to get out of the room. A way to tell you aligned them correctly if the eyes no longer move when hitting any directional key. Normally, it's impossible to actually align the pair in the vanilla game, due to there being a invisible hitbox around the nose area, preventing you from actually completing the room.

Hellmori's face is the same as that of Headspace's Floating Mirror jumpscare, but higher quality.

Developer Room
If the player interacts with one specific tombstone at the top of the area, they will be teleported to the tombstone room.<br>
This room contains many tombstone with witty text written on them by the developers of Omori.

Quotes
Stranger: "When you hid the truth, you sealed a part of me away with it."<br>
Stranger: "He's been waiting for someone to save him all this time." <br>
Stranger: "On that day... When you became nothing... I was split in half. Which one do you think was more painful?"<br>

Tombstone room, from the top left to right:<br>

"Here lies Andrew Vance A.K.A Sleepykuya. The town drunk. Died fighting actual mole. 1873-1901."<br>
"Here lies Ocean's dream. Died as he lived... covered in cheese."<br>
"Here lies Melonkid. Accidentally walked into a rake."<br>
"Here lies Omocat. It is only when we die that we truly begin to live."<br>
"Here lies Whitney White A.K.A Yin. The demon got it's revenge :(."<br>
"Here lies Minced. Wilted from a lack of water."<br>
"Here lies Rai. Died in a fight... but you should see the other guy."<br>
"Here lies Ems. Food offerings required."<br>
"Here lies Aivi. Poignant, yet ever so fleeting. Truly was the effervesence of life."<br>
"Here lies Rochelle. Death by Caffeine at age 23."<br>
"Here lies Pedro. Destroyed."<br>
"Here lies Batino. No buried treasure here, nope."<br>
"Here lies Archeia. Died swimming with the fishes."<br>
"Here lies Kim Vance A.K.A La Aguacate. Death by involvement in an illegal avocado smuggling accident."<br>
"Here lies TDS. You have to be realistic about these things."<br>
"Here lies Bluemoon. Everyone's favorite senpai. (So long, Fiuto...)."<br>
"Here lies Cachi. Do not open until 20XX."<br>
"Here lies Moogiri. It's dark in here... but I kind of like it."<br>
"Here lies Kairu. Life Jam had no effect!"<br>
"Here lies Pride-kun. Still hasn't found her pen."<br>

There is another tombstone, far off from the rest. It says:<br>
"Here lies other guy."

Alternate Entrances
* The player can also enter this room by taking a monochrome taxi in the Endless Highway. The taxi has a 10% chance to spawn after booting up the game.
* One can enter the developer room by interacting with the left most head in heads looking up, and walking out of the developer room.

Notes
* The cut character "Meido" can be found here if accessed through the Looping Forest in the Hikkiomori route.
Trivia
*Like with all the enemies found in the Junkyard, at the beginning of the battle Kel will look for items in the trash, obtaining one of various possible items, like cans, tofus, rubber bands, chocolates and cherry sodas.
*This enemy is possibly based around the "AOL Dial-Up" online service, due to how it's name is "Dial-Up" and one of it's skills slowing down everyone in the battle.

PAGENAME is a character and the main antagonistic force in OMORI.

Story
Something is a manifestation of Sunny's guilt over Mari's death, representing all of his fears and phobias.

Background
After Sunny accidentally pushes Mari down the stairs, Basil speaks words of comfort to him and makes the decision to frame the accidental murder as a suicide. After looking back into the garden through the glass sliding door, the sight of the corpse's eye staring back at them traumatizes them.

Nights 1-3
It can be first seen if you go north from the stump, it appears briefly over the Water, a few metres from the ladder. It appears again in Basil's house after he disappears and in the mirror in Cattail Field.

Something has influenced and amplified Sunny's fears for heights, spiders, and deep bodies of water to the point of being irrational phobias. These specific fears were affected because of a near-death experience Sunny had falling off a statue into a deep body of water due to a spider.

Night 4
On the final night, Sunny confronts Something head-on. During their battle, flashbacks of the three old phobias appear as Sunny overcomes them again. After using his skills Calm Down, Focus, and Persist, Sunny learns the skill Overcome, as Something's simplistic appearance fades into Mari's hanging body, swinging in the wind.

Sunny wakes up in the middle of the night. At this point, the story diverges based on what Sunny chooses to do.

Saving Basil
If Sunny enters Basil's room, he finds a Basil trapped by Basil's own Something. Basil promises to save Sunny from Something and attacks him. Sunny's eye is injured but he successfully manages to survive Basil's attack and both of them are rushed to the hospital. After waking up, Sunny walks to Basil's hospital room and confesses the truth about Mari's death to everyone there. If the player has regularly watered Basil's plants in the Headspace, Basil wakes up to see both his and Sunny's Somethings disappear.

Leaving Basil
If Sunny goes back to sleep without entering Basil's room, Basil will commit suicide and can be seen in his room with Something surrounding him. Sunny then goes home and sleeps, and when he leaves Faraway the next day Something follows him.

Appearance
Something comes in many forms, but its original form represents Mari's eye looking through her hair after Sunny and Basil staged her suicide in Sunny's backyard. Other forms of Something look like tall looming figures, various animals, spiders, stairs, water plants, etc...

Overview
Upon entering, Stranger will talk with you. He'll tell Omori that there's a lot of broken things in this room. He also asks if Headspace was made to protect Black Space or to hide it. <br>
There's several notable things found in this room. <br>
Namely: A dead whale, a copy of Omori, whose face is melting off, several human limbs that were cut in pieces, a giant something with a realistic face, and a crudely drawn window, with a key below it.<br>
After the key is collected, several red hands will spawn. If Omori comes in contact with them they will teleport him back into the Black Space hub.
Quotes
Stranger: "These rooms... are full of broken things... but at least in here, I can see who you really are."<br>
Stranger: "The world that you created above this one... Did you make it to protect this place or to hide it away?"<br>
Stranger: "Either way... it's become more powerful than you."
Cut Warp
Originally, if you positioned Omori between the black hands, near the window, he would've been warped to Looping Forest. This has been cut because the developers didn't have enough time to test it extensively.
Sunny is the player character and silent main protagonist in OMORI. Sunny can be controlled and named by the player during the real-world segments of the game.

Profile
Appearance
Sunny wears a white-collared shirt with a blue vest over it. He wears beige shorts, white socks, and black shoes.

Personality
Sunny has been described as a shy but kind boy. Basil has described Sunny as a "really good listener" and although he is timid, Sunny cares about his friends, and they got along well before Mari's death.

Background
Sunny was born to unnamed parents on July 20th, being approximately 16 years old by the beginning of the game. He has an older sister named Mari. He lived in Faraway since he was a child, sharing a room with his older sister.

Growing up, Sunny always loved listening to Mari play piano, prompting him to receive a violin on his 12th birthday so that he could play with her. He enjoyed playing it at first but became resentful of it due to his sister's tendency to be a perfectionist, as well as his violin lessons interfering with the time he spent with his friends. He frequently played with his neighbors Kel, Hero, Aubrey, and Basil, the latter of which was described as being his best friend. Basil's photo album shows the group being close friends; going to school together, celebrating birthdays, and building a treehouse.

Sunny's frustration causes him to have an argument with Mari which leads to him throwing his violin down the stairs and breaking it, which then escalates to him accidentally pushing Mari down the stairs, killing her. Initially, he believes that she is still alive and has Basil help him carry her up to her bed. However, it becomes clear that she has died, and Basil convinces Sunny to stage her death as a suicide in order to avoid potential repercussions. After Mari's death, Sunny becomes reclusive, and he eventually stops leaving his house altogether. People who do this are known in Japan as "Hikikomori", which may be where the name of Sunny's Headspace persona "Omori" comes from.

Story
The beginning of the game takes place four years after Mari's death and over the course of three days, after which Sunny will be moving to a new town. Through the player's choices, the game has multiple endings and two specific routes that can be taken.

Night 1
Night 1 occurs regardless of what route the player chooses. Sunny wakes up after being forced to leave White Space. While attempting to get food from the kitchen, he has to conquer his fear of heights to go down the stairs; which is where he remembers how to use the skill CALM DOWN. Sunny then heats up the steak his mother left him and eats it, however it causes him to get sick and vomit. Afterward, the sound of knocking prompts Sunny to check the front door, where MARI can be heard asking Sunny to let her in. Sunny is given a choice to either answer the door, or leave it closed. After choosing either option, the night ends with Sunny going back to bed and re-entering White Space.

Normal Route
The normal route allows for the True or Bad endings to be reached, but the neutral endings can also occur depending on the player's choices.

Day 1
Sunny wakes up in the morning to someone knocking on the front door. When he opens the door, Kel is on the other side. Going outside then gives Sunny the opportunity to see his old friends and overall be more active within his waking life. The day goes on as Sunny and Kel learn that Basil's photo album was stolen by Aubrey. They confront her, where she reveals that she felt betrayed by all of them after Mari's death and believes she is keeping the photo album safe. After this, Sunny and Kel see her throw away the photo album and are able to retrieve it. They take it back to Basil and eat dinner at Basil's House. Basil's behavior becomes increasingly strange, leading to him running to the bathroom. When Sunny checks on him, he is terrified and mentions also being able to see Something. The player is then forced to make Sunny leave, despite Basil's pleas for him to stay. Sunny goes home and fights Something, overcoming his fear of spiders and learning the skill Focus.

Day 2
Day 3
Hikikomori Route
The days in the Hikikomori route are considerably shorter, as they only consist of Sunny doing his chores and then facing the Something that corresponds with a fear blocking out sections of Headspace. This route prevents the completion of the Good or Bad endings, and only allows for the Neutral endings.

Day 1
During the first day, Sunny must choose not to answer the door in order to start the Hikikomori route. From there he will sweep the house, afterward taking a nap and waking up at night. He will come across Something again, this time taking the form of a mutated spider. Fighting Something allows Sunny to gain the skill Focus, and gets rid of his fear of spiders.

Day 2
On Day 2, Sunny is tasked with doing the dishes. Afterward, he takes a bath and slowly sinks down. Upon resurfacing, his house will be completely flooded. Following Mari's ghost down the stairs prompts him to fight Something, this time looking like underwater plants/tentacles. This fight allows Sunny to learn Persist.

Day 3
On the last day, waking up and moving around the house results in Sunny being followed by Something wherever he goes. The last chore involves sorting through Sunny's old belongings into different boxes. From there, the player can choose either to go back to Headspace or have Sunny sleep. If Sunny goes to sleep, his body is taken over by Omori. After waking up, there are two possible endings that can be achieved. If Sunny goes to sleep, he will wake up and leave the house, ending with the credits rolling and the sound of sirens, possibly implying Basil's suicide having still happened in this route. Another option is for the player to go into the menu and use the stab function, causing Omori to stab Sunny and commit suicide.

SuperPiterOfficialWiki: Fixed some grammatical errors.

The battle system in OMORI is similar to the combat of the traditional turn-based JRPGs which the game takes inspiration from, with the use of plugins to create additional mechanics to control the flow of the battle, like emotions and follow-ups.

Stats
Most stats remains unchanged compared to the expected behaviour, save from some renames and small differences, as seen below:
*HP Heart: It's the normal "HP" or "health points" value we see in other JRPGs, it's the amount of health party members and enemies have, if fully depleted, the character becomes "toast" (the game equivalent of a "KO" state) , except Omori, who if ever reaches 0 heart it will bring up the "game over" screen.
*MP Juice: It's the normal "MP" or "mana points" value we see in other JRPGs, it's the amount of mana party members and enemies have, most skills costs juice to use, party members are unable to use skills that use more mana than what they currently have. Only the members of the player's party use juice for their skills, enemies uses their juice solely as shields when they are inflicted with Sadness.
*Attack: Attack works as predicted, as it decides the amount of damage most attacks does, with very few exceptions, like Kel's "run'n gun" or Aubrey's "last resort".
*Defense: Defense works as predicted, decreasing damage taken by attacks and skills, note that there are skills that bypass defense.
*Speed: Speed works like a "agility" value we have in other JRPG games, however in OMORI it only affects three things: who will act first, some skills formulas and the chances of running away from battle. With very few exceptions, like Sunny's Calm Down, Focus, Persist, Encore and Cherish skills.
*Luck: Luck controls the critical hit rate, each point in luck is 1% critical rate, however, luck does not increase when leveling up.
*Hit rate: Hit rate dictates how often a attack hits or miss, with the exception of Sunny with 75% hit rate, the default hit rate for the party members is 0%, enemies mostly have a 95% hit rate.
*Critical hit: The chance to "hit right in the heart" as the game puts, as stated before, it's a % chance based on flat luck, each point in luck increase critical hit rate by 1%. Hitting right in the heart increase the damage dealt by the attack by 50% + 2, if the base damage's lower than 0, hitting right in the heart will always deal two damage instead.

Equipment
Weapons
Weapons are the characters is main form of attacking, granting the hit rate needed so the characters can hit something, the player is only able to change the weapon of the dream world cast, excluding Omori. Each characters use different types of weapons, as seen below:
*Omori uses knives to attack, while Sunny uses the Steak Knife, his own hands or the Violin.
*Aubrey, while in Headspace, uses a variety of blunt-force weapons, such as hammers, bats, and pillows. In the real world, she wields her Nail Bat.
*Kel, while in Headspace, uses various types of balls as weapons. In the real world, he uses his Basketball.
*Hero, while in Headspace, uses cooking and serving utensils, like pans and spatulas. In the real world, he uses his fist.

Charms
Charms are equippable itens shared between all characters, each character can carry one charm, which will grant a variety of different effects, like increasing stats, granting emotions or immunity to it, changing battle rewards, etc.

Battle actions
During battle, there is a set of actions the player can take at the beggining of the turn, these are:
Attack
The default attack option shared with all party members, doing an attack allow the use of follow-ups when pressing the movement keys in direction of a living party member.<br>The basic attack always have the same formula of doing double the character's attack minus the target's defense. All basic attack have the default 20% damage variation and can hit right in the heart, basic attacks from real world party members can't hit right in the heart.
Skills
Each character have access to a variety of skills that they can use, however only four skills can be used at the same time, including the ability to guard attacks, below is an abstract for each character's skills, a more complete list can be seen at the character page, keep in mind that every skill that apply emotions and buffs can be applied again to increase the tier. Like attack, all skills, with very few exceptions, have the default 20% damage variation and can hit right in the heart, skills which this does not apply will have it written on the list below.
Snacks can restore the Heart or Juice of one or all party members. Certain snacks can also revive party members who are Toast, or applying some buffs.
Toys
Toys are one-use items, typically causing a debuff or emotion. They can be used on enemies, and sometimes on party members.
Run away
As the name suggests, this action is for running away from combat. the chance to escape is based on this formula:
[0.65 * $gameParty.agility() / $gameTroop.agility()], in other words, the speed value of all the party members combined, multiplied by 0.65, divided by the speed of the enemy troop. Whenever a failed attempt's made, an additional 10% chance is added.

Battle mechanics
Energy
Energy is a resource gained whenever one of the party members are hit by any attack, the party starts with 4 energy with an maximum of 10 energy, and consume 3 energy to use follow-ups and 10 energy for using the ultimate "release energy" follow-up.
Follow-ups
As stated before, follow-ups can be used after an attack's made and each party member have a different set of follow-ups, it changes as the player advances throughout the game, ranging from level one to three:
Buffs & debuffs
Buffs and debuffs works similar to what is expected in other JRPG, the most common buffs/debuffs, speed, attack and defense lasts for six turns and stacks up to three times, while the uncommon ones, like sno-cone and the release energy buff, does not stack and last till the end of the battle. In order to keep track of all that, the game makes use of several states, one for each tier of the buffs, when a state already applied is applied again, it removes the current tier and gives another advanced tier, for example, using "Gator aid" will give everyone a "defense up 1", buffing again will remove "defense up 1" and apply "defense up 2", and so on, if a buff is already at max tier it will instead just reapply itself.

Emotions
Emotions are a type of state that gives the character some buffs and debuffs, they also give an "element" to their attack that makes it stronger or weaker to other emotions states, with three tiers for each emotion. It follows the following rules:
*Normal enemies and most bosses can only have tier 1 emotion.
*Party characters can only have up to tier 2 emotion, and can only have the first tier of afraid.
*Only Omori and some bosses can have tier 3 emotions. Omori is also immune to afraid.
*Sunny can only be afraid, stressed out, angry and sad, other real world friends follows the same rules as their dream world counterpart.
While under the effect of an emotion, the character does more damage to one emotion and takes less damage from another, following the pattern that can be seen in Hero's Emotion chart at the side, which is:
*Angry is strong against sad.
*Sad is strong against happy.
*Happy is strong against angry.

The emotion resistance and weakness values are as follow:
* Emotion Resistance: Takes 20% / 35% / 50% less damage.
* Emotion Weakness: Deals 50% / 100% / 150% more damage.
As an example, an attack done to a ecstatic party member from an angry source will deal 65% damage, while an attack done to the angry foe from an ecstatic source will deal 200% damage instead of 100%.
Plot armor
Plot armor is the mechanism that forbids Omori from dying when being victim of a killing blow once per battle, which gives the message “Omori did not succumb” instead, it’s a simple “immortal” state that’s given to Omori, once a damage that would take him below 1 HP is done, the immortal state’s set to be removed in the end of the turn, meaning that all damage taken till the end of the turn will still not kill him.

Prior to patch 1.0.8, the game used to check heart value at the end of the turn to determine if Omori should or should not disable his plot armor, if Omori had more than 5% HP by the end of the turn (for example, by the use of a healing item after the “killing blow” was taken), it was possible to keep the immortal state indefinitively, as long as Omori never ended a turn with less than 5% HP.
As seen above, there are several items and abilities that can increase a character's stats mid battle, either by applying emotions or buffs, these extra stats are increased additively, meaning that they will always base themselves at the character is base + gear stats and will add to one another, like seen below:

[(Character stats) + (stateº¹ + stateº² ... stateºn)] = current status.

Example:

[(lv 50 Kel speed + Chicken Ball + Fox tail) + (Ecstatic) + (speed up 3) + (Sno-cone) + (Release energy buff)) <br>
[(130 + 200 + 35) + (50%) + (400%) + (20%) + (25%)] <br>
[365 + (495%)] <br>
[2171,75] => [2172] (rounded) <br>
Kel is current speed in this situation is 2172. <br>

For the sake of continuing the example, here is a situation where his speed would apply in a damage formula, in his run 'n gun, with the enemy defense and damage variation being neglected for the sake of simplicity:

[1.5 * a.spd - b.def]

[1.5 * 2172 - 0] = 3258<br>
If right in the heart, 4889.

Keep in mind that RPG Maker MV calculates the values by transforming them, so instead of "increasing speed by 50%" it "set speed to 150%", which is the very same thing, just written differently.
Unused Text
"The Truth" Photo Album Text
The text for the "The Truth" iteration of BASIL's PHOTO ALBUM is scratched out normally, leaving the Player to guess the story of MARI's fate on their own. However, the text for each photograph exists in the game files through an unused image for the album pages.
Photo of a Wall
You heard some scoffing from behind the wall, but paid it no notice. You were in no mood to focus. You were overcame. You were sick of everything. You know it wasn't a big deal, but you couldn't control yourself.
Photo of a Broken Violin
Your precious violin lay shattered at the bottom of the staircase. You threw it in a rage. Your fingers were shaking in pain... practicing over and over... but you still make mistakes after mistakes. This was all a bad idea.
Photo of an Argument
MARI was yelling at you. You couldn't understand what she was saying. She didn't understand you at all... She didn't understand that you just weren't good enough. The only thing you hold onto was your anger. This pain... was it her fault?
Photo of a Fight
MARI blocked your path. She says that she isn't finished talking. She tells you not to run away... but why not? You did this all for her! Why was she yelling at you? You didn't understand...
Photo of a Murder
You lose all sense and push her down the staircase.
Photo of Silence
You watched MARI crush on top of your broken violin. The sound wakes you up to nothing but silence. You called out to her, but she doesn't answer. Your heart sinks into your stomach.
Photo of Panic
It happened in an instant. You didn't mean to do that. Well, you did mean to push her, didn't you? It was an accident, right? You're not sure. You tremble your way down the staircase.
Photo of Desperation
You call her name, but she doesn't answer. You sweep the bits of wood from her body. Nothing but scratches. You turn her around and see her face. She looks asleep... but then, why isn't she answering?
Photo of an Accomplice
You pick up Mari and drag her up the stairs. She feels lighter than you think. She just needs to lie down in a bed... She just needs some rest...
Photo of Disbelief
Your heart beats out of your chest. Your head feels fuzzy. You lose vision. You push the door to the bedroom open, and make your way to her bed. She's going to be okay, right? This is just a dream, right?
Photo of Anguish
You call her name over and over, but she doesn't answer. You watch the light from the window cast a shadow over her face. She's expressionless. You sink your fingers into her arm, and break down into tears.
Photo of Guilt
You want to scream for help, but you're afraid... you mumble to yourself... what if they ask what happened? There's no way you can tell them the truth. Who would be able to forgive him? Who would believe... that it was... an accident?
Photo of an Idea
A whisper comes from behind you, but you ignore it. A cry comes from behind you, but you ignore it. You cover your face with your arms. This isn't real. None of this real. Why won't you wake up?
Photo of Hopelessness
Everything appears dark. The shadows slither around you. You don't understand what is happening... Your head starts to feel fuzzy... You sink into a crevice in your mind... an empty white room.
Photo of Support
Your shoulders feel heavy. A familiar voice whispers something unspeakable. Your eyes widen. It tells you to follow its lead. It says... it's the only way out... It says... that everything will be okay.
Photo of Betrayal
You pick up MARI's body and lift it down the staircase. She feels lighter than you think. You feel multiple eyes shift their gaze to you. You keep your eyes toward the ground.
Photo of Hope
You hear the sliding of a familiar door. A voice tells you to walk. A gist of wind enters the room as the light outside engulfs you. You keep your eyes toward the ground.
Photo of a Tree
As you face forward, you listen to the crunching of the grass and feel the coolness of the wind. You hear the leaves in the trees riffle as the sun begins to set... but you try to ignore it. It's all just a dream...
Photo of a Branch
You lay down MARI’s body and look up for the first time. Small rays of light shine through the cracks in the leaves. You relish in its beauty and savor the moment. You think... even if this is all real, if you keep looking at the leaves, that... everything will be okay.
Photo of a Rope
You hear pacing, the crunching of the grass sifting back and forth. You think you see a figure pick something off the ground, but you’re not sure. You keep staring at the leaves overhead. Everything will be okay... You think... Everything will be okay.
Photo of Hands
You hear shuffling. You hear dragging... and creaking... and pulling. Something is happening, but you refuse to look away from the leaves. Your head feels fuzzy again. You bite your tongue and attempt to wake up one last time, but it’s no use... You’re still here.
Photo of a Lie
As you and BASIL step into the house, you look back towards the trees and see it. The light engulfs it as it sways in the wind... For a moment, you feel at peace. You hate yourself for feeling this way. Is that all, then? Is everything going to be okay now?
Photo of Legs
You feel a cold hand clutch yours. You try to jerk away, but it squeezes back; unwilling to let you go. The hand drags you backward. You look up and see your best friend for the first time... BASIL. You see the tears falling from his tired eyes as he looks ahead. You suddenly realize that none of this is a dream. All of this is real.
Photo of Something
Suddenly, BASIL stops. You look up at his eyes... but this time, they’re wide awake, staring at Something. You turn your eyes toward it as well, though you wish you didn’t. An eye meets yours. Your heart sinks into your stomach. You shouldn’t have looked back... You just... shouldn’t... have looked...
Map 300 Dialogue
It's just not good enough.

She just needs some rest.

You shouldn't have looked.

She just needs some rest.

This isn't real.

Can you tell us the truth?

This is the only way.

Unused Rooms
99 Letter Sequence
These are 7 unused rooms in Black Space (One of which was meant for Red Space) that theoretically should be accessed from the holes the keys leave when collected, however: The sequence requires 99 Letters, which is impossible to do since there is only 26 keys. However, in the game's 2019 prototype these rooms reveal that these were originally meant to be most of the rooms you would go to in Black Space, albeit in a much different and more nonlinear order.
Map 305 (Friends Stump)
Appears to be an early version of the room in Black Space where Basil is attacked by Kel and Aubrey, which uses the Black Forest tileset instead of the Neighbor's Room tileset. Basil's dialogue is also a bit different, in which he talks about Mari instead of his Photo Album, and you get immediately warped to Map 269 after he gets attacked by Aubrey.
Map 269 (Basil's Respite)
A room filled with white egret orchids and weird Something creatures. Interacting with the tree stump on top takes you to Map 300, and walking into the beam of light on the bottom takes you to Map 268.
Map 300 (Stump Area)
A room filled with tree stumps (and trees.), Something creatures and "puddles" on the ground. Interacting with the bottom-middle stump results in the game getting softlocked since the game attempts to take you to a map that doesn't exist. Checking the teleport script internally reveals that the game tried to take you back from a Black Space pocket, however due to being on a earlier version of the game it's always active instead of taking you back to Map 269. Interacting with the other stumps gives empty dialogue from the other characters, albeit using their faceless portraits. (Refer back to the Unused Text section of this page to find the dialogue meant for this map.)
Map 373 (Red Space Unused)
This room has some fingers lying around and a swarm of Red Hands in the top of the map that take you back to the starting area of Black Space.
Map 268 (Treehouse in the Lake)
A larger room that has the treehouse smack-dab in the middle surrounded by puddles and white egret orchids. Going inside the treehouse takes you to Map 269, while in the top-left and bottom-right corners of the room are a 3x3 cluster of doors that all take you to Map 293 and a Red Hand near a stump that takes you to the alternate version of Black Space.
Map 293 (Dark Path)
A looping vertical path surrounded by streetlights, reminiscent of Memory Lane, an area explored near the end of the True Route. Walking north and looping twice will warp you to Map 294, while walking south will warp you back to Map 268.
Map 294 (Basil's Something)
An completely empty area with an scrolling image of Basil's Something as the background. Going to the borders of this room take you back to Map 268.
