Title is the first song in the official soundtrack of OMORI.
The track features an out-of tune piano. A high pitch opens and ends the track together with a distorted shifting sound. The high pitch note is around an F#6, creating a dissonant note not found in the key (i.e the tritone or augmented forth). It also borrows chords from various other piano keys.
The piece has a pickup and is seven measures long. It will keep repeating as long as the game's title screen is open.

Motif
Title uses the Main Motif. The motif is featured in the following tracks:
* 001 - Title
* 153 - Do You Remember? - the track is similar to Title, but features arpeggios played by the left hand
* 154 - Playing Forever - the motif is heard played as a waltz in the last thirty seconds of this track
* 167 - Remembrance - the motif is played on solo violin
* 172 - DUET - the motif is heard in its most expanded form, as a waltz played by piano and violin
* 176 - The Truth - the track begins with the first four notes of the motif

Chord Structure
C major (second inversion), C sharp diminished (second inversion), D minor (second inversion), A major seven, G major, C major.
Roman numerals: I6/5, #I6/5(borrowed chord), ii6/5, VI7(borrowed chord), V, I.

Musical analysis
The two starting notes is a major sixth. This interval is widely used to convey lyrical and passionate themes in music with examples ranging from Star Wars (Leia's theme), Chopin's Nocturne Op.9 No.2 in E-flat major as well as Claude Debussy's Clair De Lune.
It is often referred to as The interval of yearning and is often associated with childlike joy and innocence. While there may be different interpretations it is generally agreed it sounds sweet and pleasant.

PAGENAME is the 13th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays in Basil's house in Headspace while visiting it for the first time.

Musical description
A Home For Flowers (Tulip) is the first appearance of Basil's theme. The track starts with an eight-bar introduction with a distinctive arpeggio pattern before the main melody begins, which is played with an atmospheric piano sound. The melody is later taken over by a bell-like, percussive lead synth. It is in G major, but does not sound like it due to the almost complete absence of any major chords. The chords and melody are played with a syncopated rhythm.

Analysis
The harmony primarily consists of seventh chords with missing thirds, meaning they are neither major nor minor, creating a hollow, tense sound, which adds to the melancholic atmosphere of the music, and leads to an ambiguous sense of tonality. The melody is continuous and unbroken, going on without any exact repeats or ever resolving, creating a wistful feeling.

Motifs
A Home For Flowers is Basil's theme and has three other versions in the game:
* A Home For Flowers (Empty) - a plucked version that plays in Basil's home in Faraway Town.
* A Home For Flowers (Daisy) - a piano version that plays in the meadow in Black Space before learning the truth.
* A Home For Flowers (Sunflower) - a mellow synth version that plays during the memory of Basil's birthday party on Memory Lane.
The theme also makes an appearance in Bookcase, which plays during the cutscene of Basil in the Lost Library.

Trivia
* The tulip is the flower that Basil associates with Omori.

Musical description
The track is similar to Lost At A Sleepover, but with changes towards the end of each iteration of the main melody. These include the final beat taking twice as long to play, the final bar being heavily distorted, a beat being skipped and the main melody being detuned. Other than those changes, there are also small fluctuations in tempo. It is also faster than Lost At A Sleepover by two beats per minute.

Friends. is an altered version of Lost At A Sleepover. Friendsssssss. is another distorted version that plays in Black Space.
Poems In The Fog is the 18th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays in Pinwheel Forest.

Musical description
The track features a guitar playing arpeggios, with a gentle melody comprised mostly of dotted half notes, that is first played by an atmospheric lead synth, and then by a guitar with a tremolo. The chord sequence progresses through some non-diatonic harmony but returns to the home key of F major at the end of the track. The track is overall in 3/4, but slips into 4/4 at certain points.

Analysis
The fluctuations in rhythm of the quavers in the guitar accompaniment and the mixed meter help to create an off-balance feeling, which coheres with it being played on a windy patch of land suspended in the sky. The chromaticism and chords borrowed from the parallel minor also serve to add a wistful quality to the music.

Trivia
* The unsteady tempo was inspired by the save room music in Resident Evil 1.
Version differences
The pale machine version of My Time plays at 180 BPM, while the OMORI soundtrack version plays at 202 BPM, which makes it higher by one whole tone. The original version also features a strings section at the end of the track after a period of silence, which is not present in either of the game versions. The version of the song that plays in-game is 1 minute and 45 seconds long, which is achieved by transitioning to the interlude after the first chorus, and shortening the interlude and last chorus sections.

Trivia
* The pre-chorus is sung by Utane Uta, the default voicebank in the UTAU vocal synthesiser program.
WHITE SPACE is the 122nd track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays on the True Route while Omori is in White Space during the chapter Two Days Left. It is the second and final variation of the music heard in White Space in the game.

Musical description
This piece is very similar to WHITE SPACE (track 2), with the same melody played in the right hand and same arpeggios played in the left hand, but it is in the key of Bb major and played on piano. It is played about 20% slower.

Analysis
As it appears in the same key as WHITE SPACE (track 96), and it is played slightly faster and with an even rhythm, it can be interpreted as a more practiced version of that piece. It has a similar melancholic feeling, but the chords are played in root position, which gives it a greater sense of resolution and stability. This is the last piece that plays in White Space before realising the truth, and its more confident nature could represent Sunny's increased readiness to face his past, and fully reconcile with his friends.

Motifs
WHITE SPACE is a piano version of WHITE SPACE (track 2). The White Space motif also appears in the following tracks:
* 11 - It's Okay To Try Again... - the first two bars follow a similar shape to the motif
* 16 - A Place By A Lake - a shortened version of the White Space motif is heard around halfway through the track
* 96 - WHITE SPACE - the other piano version of WHITE SPACE
* 131 - Welcome Again. - an off-key version of the motif played monophonically
* 170 - Try Again Little Brother - the first two bars are identical to the White Space motif

Trivia
* Since the player wakes up in Neighbor's Room on Two Days Left instead of White Space, one must deliberately return to White Space some time between going to the Last Resort and Black Space in order to hear this track, since the scenes mandatory for game progression do not feature it.
PAGENAME is the 13th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays in Basil's house in Headspace while visiting it for the first time.

Musical description
A Home For Flowers (Tulip) is the first appearance of Basil's theme, perhaps the most sombre and reflective music heard yet in the game at that point. The track starts with an eight-bar introduction with a distinctive arpeggio pattern before the main melody begins, which is played with an atmospheric piano sound. The melody is later taken over by a bell-like, percussive lead synth. It is in G major, but doesn't sound like it due to the almost complete absence of any major chords.

The melody is continuous and unbroken, going on without any exact repeats or ever resolving, creating a yearning feeling.

The melody is continuous and unbroken, going on without any exact repeats or ever resolving, creating a yearning feeling.

Motifs
A Home For Flowers is Basil's theme and has three other versions in the game:
* A Home For Flowers (Empty) - a guitar/harp version that plays in Basil's home in Faraway Town.

The track features quiet hospital ambience, including talking, a monitor beeping, doors closing and opening, a bark and a door bell ringing. PAGENAME is the 154th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays on the Neutral Route in Neighbor's Bedroom. It also plays in Sunny's house after he completes his chores on One Day Left.

Analysis
Playing Forever is a waltz played on music box, which is an instrument associated both with childhood innocence and with horror movies. It is also a relatively superficial instrument, being mostly created as decoration or toy and only able to play simple, predetermined music. It can only play it in the same way every time, making its music feel more inorganic than other instruments. Through this, the music box captures the one-dimensional nature of Headspace, and how artificial everything in it is, which Sunny has chosen to fully embrace at this point in the story.

The chord progression features many non-diatonic chords, which often clash with the main melody, creating very dissonant intervals of a minor 9th (an augmented minor 2nd) and a major 7th (the inversion of the minor 2nd), leading to a feeling of uneasiness. However, the C chord is repeated often, except for a short section where Eb is tonicised. The bright, cheery sound of the music box and the sweet, simple melody juxtaposes with the dissonant sound of the "wrong" notes.

Motifs
Towards the end of the track, the Main Motif is heard. This is the only time it appears on the Neutral Route other than on the title screen.

Trivia
* 143, the length of the track, is a recurring number in the game that represents the phrase "I love you" and it associated with Mari.

* 001 - Title

PAGENAME is the 176th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays in the cutscene during the good ending where Sunny enters Basil's hospital room, and prepares to confess the truth to his friends.

Musical description
The track consists of a seven note phrase played on piano with reverb. The melody begins with the Main Motif, but diverges from it when it plays a D instead of the non-diatonic C#, and ends unresolved on a G. The melody is overall high, with a range from G5 to A6. It is played with a lot of rubato. A single chord is played, a C major chord in second inversion.

Motifs
The Truth uses the Main Motif, which is first heard in Title. It is also heard in full in the following tracks:
* 153 - Do You Remember? - the track is similar to Title, but features arpeggios played by the left hand
* 167 - Remembrance - the motif is played on solo violin
* 172 - DUET - the motif is heard in its most expanded form, as a waltz played by piano and violin

Analysis
Unlike other iterations of the Main Motif, The Truth features no chromaticism, instead changing a note to be in key of C major. The lack of the tension in the melody that the player has come to expect creates a sense of peacefulness and being at rest. Ending the melody on the dominant leads to a feeling of anticipation, which is not resolved. This mirrors how the player only sees the beginning of the confession scene, and what happens afterwards it is left up to their imagination.
Dear Little Brother... is the 92nd track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays during the segment with Mari as a spirit after Sunny jumps into the lake on the True Route, or falls asleep in the bathtub on the Neutral Route. It also plays after entering Black Space for the first time, ending when the player reaches Mari's coffin.
The track features the melody from By Your Side played on piano, overlaid with a soft ambient humming noise. A keyboard-like synth later joins to provide a countermelody. The track is overall quiet and calm.

The PAGENAME, internally called "Construction in the lake", is an optional area in Black Space. It is always the twelfth area visited.
Overview
This area heavily resembles a grayscale version of the construction sites in Deep Well. There are five platforms in the area, all connected by ladders.

The bottom platform is surrounded by water. The second platform is sparsely populated, only having a bed Omori can take a brief nap on and some trees. The third platform similarly only has a game of hopscotch and a park bench, and the fourth platform is completely empty. On the very top platform, there is a treehouse, with Basil standing by it.
Basil will start to follow Omori after he talks to him. While descending back down the area, an elevator will suddenly open up, and Basil will tell Omori to use it to escape from Black Space. The area's key is located inside the elevator. Interacting with the elevator buttons allows Omori to select from a few Headspace destinations, although the choice is meaningless.

Once a destination is selected and the elevator begins moving, Basil will try to confess something to Omori, but the doors will suddenly open again, cutting him off.
As the two leave the elevator, Basil will get jammed in the elevator doors, which eventually snap shut, decapitating him.
After this, red hands will appear around the room to return Omori to Black Space, as usual.

Treehouse
Going into the treehouse will show you a heavily distorted version of the treehouse in Sunny's backyard.
Interacting with the various objects will only show you brief, one-word sentences describing the objects, such as "toy". Repeatedly examining them will slowly change the descriptions; for instance, "toy" will eventually turn into "gone," and then "fun" upon repeated examination.

Examining the calendar will eventually result in the text "summer" appearing, suggesting that this room in particular was based on an experience Sunny had shortly after its construction, given the timeframe given in the Photo Album.

Alternative Entrances
* On the last day of the Hikikomori route, the player can interact with the broken elevator on the right of Mr.Jawsum in the Last Resort. This will teleport Omori into the elevator.

Differences
There's a few differences compared to the normal version found. Omori starts out in an elevator. When prompted, the player can only choose to go to Black Space. Backing out of this will bring you to Black Space anyway.
In the treehouse, the cut beta character "Empty Friend" can be found. Upon interacting with it, the screen will distort itself and it'll vanish.
Quotes
Basil: "Ah... Omori! Is it really you? How did you find me?"
Basil: "Are Kel, Aubrey, and Hero here too? I've missed you all so much!"
Basil: "I'm glad the treehouse is still standing. Everyone worked really hard to make it together."
Basil: "Let's go home, Omori."
Basil: "An elevator? I wonder where it leads to. Maybe it can take us back home!"
Basil: "A-Actually... while we're in here. Can I share something with you? Omori?"
Basil: "Hold on, Omori. I... I think I'm stuck."
Basil: "Could you help me out?"
Basil: "Hnnn... Gggg... Huahhh... O... mori..."
Notes
* Even though it doesn't matter what option you choose in the elevator, one can see the ground of the selected area before stepping out.
* One can nap in the bed.
:* This removes the flying creature that is located just above the bed.
:* The bed's event name in the game files is named "Looping Forest: 270" hinting at a possible (former) connection.
* The elevator will always bring you back to the construction site, no matter what option you choose.
* The tree that holds the treehouse has a white outline.
Good Morning is the 177th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays during the credits during the good ending. It is an instrumental track with sing-along lyrics written by Omocat displayed on screen.

Lyrics
One more day the sun reaches my bed.
One more day to spend alone again.
Morning starts without me.
I seem to find it hard to wake up.

Steadily my thoughts take hold of me.
It's hard to stay awake or fall asleep.
Memories of the past,
Both the good and the bad
Overwhelm me.

There's so much I wish I could take back.
Sometimes I think maybe it's too late.
Though the pain remains,
And though it may be hard,
I'll carry on.

Time to rise and shine.
Good morning!

So the sun reaches my bed,
One more day to spend alone again.
Morning starts without me,
I seem to find it hard to wake up...

Musical analysis
The harmony stays within the key of F major but features some diminished chords, which adds a bittersweet and nostalgic feeling to the music. However, the track is overall upbeat, with a conjunct melody and a jaunty syncopated accompaniment. The three different synthesiser sounds used in the track to play the melody, a chime-like synth and two more neutral but bright sounding leads, which contribute to the optimistic mood created by the lyrics.

Motifs
Bad Morning features a slowed down, eerie version of the main melody of Good Morning.

Trivia
* The song was later performed by the OMORI team as part of a fundraiser for Stop AAPI Hate.

* 001 - Title
* 176 - The Truth - the track begins with the first two notes of the motif

Article formatting
I am new to this wiki, does it follow the same rules of formatting as wikipedia? (i.e Neutral Point of View, Reliable Sources and No Original Research) I found the style guide, which was very helpful, but I can't seem to find a formatting guide. Hello, whenever I try to upload a file I get the error message "Could not open lock file for "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/a/a6/(file name)". Make sure your upload directory is configured correctly and your web server has permission to write to that directory. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Manual:$wgUploadDirectory for more information." Is this an issue with a website, or with my account?
It plays during the segment with Mari as a spirit after Sunny jumps into the lake on the True Route, or falls asleep in the bathtub on the Neutral Route. It also plays after entering Black Space for the first time, ending when the player reaches Mari's coffin.

Analysis
Motifs
Dear Little Brother features Mari's theme, but uses only the right hand part of By Your Side. It is also played an octave higher and at a much slower tempo.

Trivia
* Due to its title, this track is often associated with Omori's encounter with Mari in her spirit form at the beginning of the Headspace segment in Two Days Left, but it doesn't play then.
By Your Side is the 5th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It is Mari's theme, and plays during cutscenes with her and about her.

Musical description
The track features a piano playing a sweet and gentle melody, with chords in a syncopated rhythm played by the left hand. As it continues, other instruments begin to fill in the texture, including a synth pad and a flute. It is 32 bars long and has a symmetrical structure, with the latter 16 bars being a repeat of the first 16, with differences in instrumentation such as the piano melody being doubled by a synth. It can be divided into four bar phrases, which in turn can be divided into two bar phrases, which all have a similar melodic contour. The chord progression repeats every two bars and uses the chords bVII - vi - V, with some variations with extensions as the piece continues.

Analysis
By Your Side makes use of chromaticism, which adds a bittersweet feeling to the music. The strong beats are not greatly emphasised, which can be seen in how the melody starts on the off-beat after beat 1, and in the syncopated elements in the accompaniment and main melody. This, along with the instrumentation, helps to create a gentle sound. The track prominently uses a flattened 7th (A♮), mostly as the root note of the A chord but also in the melody, giving it a mixolydian flavour. Here, the modal feel emphasises the more melancholic aspects of the music.

Motifs
By Your Side is Mari's theme. The theme also appears in Dear Little Brother, where it is played slower and without the left hand accompaniment.
WHITE SPACE is the second track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. On the True Route, it plays while Omori is in White Space during the Prologue, with subsequent chapters using piano versions of the track. In contrast, on the Neutral Route, it is used in White Space in every chapter.

Musical description
WHITE SPACE is composed in a chiptune style. The musical material is eight bars long. It contains two 2-bar phrases, both repeating twice. The first phrase contains stepwise motion around Db and the second phrase outlines a Db major chord. The accompanying chords, IV and I, are arpeggiated.

Analysis
The melody is simple and diatonic, and consists only of quarter notes. The song uses two chords, Gb major and Db major, two of the most stable chords in the key. They form a plagal cadence, which creates a gentle sense of resolution. These elements create a calm and peaceful atmosphere, but also a sense of stagnation, which is heightened by the repeating material being only 13 seconds long, meaning the player will hear it several times even if they are only in White Space for a short while. The sparse instrumentation reflects the emptiness of White Space.

Motif
The White Space motif appears in the following tracks:
* 11 - It's Okay To Try Again... - the first two bars follow a similar shape to the motif
* 16 - A Place By A Lake - a shortened version of the White Space motif is heard around halfway through the track
* 96 - WHITE SPACE - piano version of this track
* 122 - WHITE SPACE - a second piano version of this track
* 131 - Welcome Again. - an off-key version of the motif played monophonically
* 170 - Try Again Little Brother - the first two bars are identical to the White Space motif

Trivia
* The music is played in-game at 60% of the speed and pitch of the music in the game files.
So, How'd We Do? is the 10th track in the official soundtrack of OMORI. It plays after winning a battle.

Musical description
The track is eight bars long. It features a warm synth pad with a smooth lead. The melody can be split into two phrases of four bars each, with each phrase starting the same way. It starts off somewhat tonally ambiguous, but ends resolving clearly on a C major chord.

Analysis
The lyrical nature of the melody and initial lack of clear tonality make this track sound more calm and reflective than a typical victory theme.
